WHOOO Loves Some Fun Scavenger Hunt

I am very excited to announce the "WHOOO Loves Some Fun Scavenger Hunt". I wanted to do something fun and different for Valentine's Day, which just happens to be my Birthday, and I LOVE birthdays. So I wanted to have the opportunity to give away something special each day from February 1st - February 14th. So heres how to play, you MUST be a follower, I will give 4 clues each day that will tell you which blog, from the ones I follow(see my side bar) to go to and what is my favorite item (if there's a store) or post on their site. Once you find it come back to my page and comment what your answer is. A winner will be chosen by random.org after midnight of that day and announced the next morning.
I hope you will Grab My Button and post it on your blog. Encourage your friends, bloggers and any one else to come play with us.
The month of "LOVE" is upon us. Comment about someone you love and why.
With love, Lori
***Please let me know if you have any questions about how to play***

Finger Print Friday

Fingerprint Friday
On Friday's over at The Rusted Chain. http://www.blog.therustedchain.com/ She is sharing about the fingerprints of God and I wanted to share this special finger print that God blessed me with. While in Bovec, Slovenia on a mission trip in October 2009, Becky and I were sharing literature throughout the county. As were walking down a long path to get to a home we passed this barn with a few sheep in the pasture. As we started back to meet the others in our group there was a silence that broke around us and we could hear a running stream and the clinging of the bell on the lead sheep. This is the picture of the last sheep who had gone a stray. I posted the link to my that post on my blog.

American Crafters

American Crafters here I come!!!!!!!
Today is the last day to enter the American Crafters "Next American Crafter". I think it it's going to be a blast. I have gone craft crazy over the last month and having more fun than I should. It has been a long time since I've used this special  gift that the Lord gave me. I hope to begin to use it again to honor him while having a good time.
Hope you enjoy my Multi-Purpose Chalkboard Door

Door was painted with Rust-Oleum Chalk Board Paint and was really easy to use. The door was washed and we let it dry before we started. Painted the first coat using a small roller.  It will dry in about 30 minutes but you need to wait 4 hours before you add the second coat. After adding the second coat you will need to wait 3 Days for conditioning before you use it. One of the great things about this you can wash it with soap and water and it looks just like you painted it. This is my friend Stefanie painting for me.

Now were ready to add the vinyl calendar. You can cut this with your Crickit or Silhouette. Apply to the door at a place good for you. We placed ours at the top. Vinyl is really easy to apply and looks great!

You can contact me if you don't have a way to get one and I will help you out. Now it's ready to go but I thought it needed a little something extra so I decided to do a fabric heart to celebrate Valentine's Day. I plan to change this out with something special each month. I decided to use my heart fabric for this project. I usually make my own patterns or free-hand
my creations. It is really easier than you think.

After cutting out the heart I sewed it together with the right sides together leaving an opening on the side then turning it right side out and filling it with stuffing. Then hand stitched the remaining opening. I wasn't sure what to hang it with so I used some double sided velcro.

My Multi-Purpose Chalkboard Door
I just love it and it has been a HUGE help. It's easier to keep up with things, you can see it all at a glance and the kids will love being able to play on the bottom half.

Craft Swap

I am really excited to share with you about a fun thing that I am taking part in. The Great Create, which is a craft swap. Melissa over at my house is vanilla.blogspot.com created this and anyone can participate. You still have time to swap in the February if you like. Take a look at the above link to get more information.
For the last week I have been working on my my craft for the January swap. I have hand embroidered a picture. I'll share pictures tomorrow when I get it framed. It's precious, if I do say so myself. I also made one for a me and a special family member. Can't wait for her to get it. I took the idea from a craft I saw on Flamingo Toes and added my own little twist. I haven't embroidered like this in years and it was so much fun. I had forgotten how much I loved it. Many of you know that I machine embroidery all day for a living so I wasn't really sure that I was going to enjoy it.  But it was AWESOME. I already have plans for some other projects. Not sure what I am going to do for my craft next month but I know it will be something to do with Valentines Day, my second favorite holiday, with Christmas being the favorite. One reason is, it's my birthday! That's right I'm a sweetheart!!!!!!
I hope if you are even a little crafty that you will swap with us.
Have a wonderful Sunday and I hope you will be in the Lord's house.
Lori
