Market Overload

I am so thankful to God for allowing me to go to market but more than that I am so thankful that Gail Wood was able to go with me. We had a Great time and were able to find some really neat things. If you have never been to market you can't imagine what it is like. It's massive!!!!! Trying to decide the things to buy that will sell is very stressful. You have a budget and need to find the best for the best price. I promise you should really appreciate the small retail stores in your towns. We all need to support our hometown business'. Be watching this blog for some special things from us. Have a wonderful Lord's day tomorrow.

Love Our Parents

God prompted this morning to share with you. For several days I have been thinking of sharing about my family with an old friend but just haven't taken the time. Then people started sharing FB about their love for either their Mom or Dad. So here we are. I have been caring for my mother for over 16 years. She lived with me for 10 years and is currently in the nursing home here in Magnolia. My dad had a stroke in 98' and the doctors told me he would die if they didn’t get help, because Chris, my stepmother couldn't care for him. So in 1999 they moved to Magnolia. They lived with us for 2 weeks, yes I had my mother, dad and step mom all in the same house and it was fine. They moved into a house a few miles away and lived there for a year. At that time Chris moved into a nursing home and Daddy moved back in with us. He and mom lived with us for four years. Dad is gone and we still care for mom and Chris... I love my parents and have tried to give them the best care in their later years. But not because of what they did for me. But because of what my Heavenly Father has done for me and what he has says in the bible. Honor your Father and Mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the Lord your God is giving you. DT 5:16 My parents were mostly uninvolved in my life, especially when I was really young and I know that has changed my life. I had to grow up way before I should have. My parents did the best they could at the time and I know that they loved me with all they could. I hope that my children know that I love them even though I made mistakes, lots of mistakes. I hope that they can see how God wants us to care for our parents and I hope they will be sweet to all their parents when were old. But most of all I hope they all know that God is the best parent of all, he will never fail them. I pray that they will get to know him better each day and spend the time need for that relationship. I also pray that for you. May God show you his special love and draw you to himself.

The TRUTH

What do you believe about truth? Is there really truth? If so what do you believe it to be? What you believe determines how you behave. I believe there is truth even though I don't always act like it. Jesus= Truth.... Devil=lies!!!!! I am the way and the Truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 They exchange the Truth for a lie and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. Romans 1:25 Do I believe in the Truth??? Then why have I given over to other things? Because I fail to put my relationship with Christ first. I have allowed the grey areas of this world to creep in. John 8:36 says, So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. Bro Travis shared this with us this morning and it was awesome. My prayer for us is that we will find the truth. Did you know that Jesus says the word truth 78 times. Think about what you believe about Truth in your life. "You are a king, then" said Pilate. Jesus answered, "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me." Have a Great week.
