We're playing with a frog.

I just want you all to know that I dislike frogs very much!!!!! In fact I don't like bugs, spiders or varments of any kind and neither does Connor. I didn't want Connor to be afraid to touch the frog so guess what? I touched it first, several times. YUCK!!!!! But he did touch it and we both had a fun time making it jump. The things we will do for our Grandboys.

10 Things on the Tenth

10 Things on the Tenth is something new for me so today I am going to share 10 things I've love about my life and a special prayers for each. 1. I love the fact that My Heavenly Father loves me and I know that I will spend forever with him. My prayer is that I will spend more time with him daily and share his love with everyone. 2. I love my husband with all of my heart. Lynn is the best husband in the world. One of the special things he does for me is he keeps my car filled with gas. He loves to cook and is a hard worker. My prayer is that I can be the wife that Lynn needs. 3. I love our children, Lance & Felice, Curt & Gracanne, Jay, Jeremy & Laura, Josh & Christine and Jodi. They are all special in different ways. My prayer for them is that they will desire to have a deep relationship with Christ. 4. I love our Grandkids more that I thought I could. Mack, Reed, Connor, Graham & Bliss. They are a wonderful gift that God has given us. My prayer is that I will be the best Christian Grams and share the love of Christ with each of them and that they will choose him. 5. I love our parents and am thankful for all that I have learned (good & bad) from them. My prayer is to be a better daughter. 6. I love my family and friends. I am so thankful for my family and the friends that God has given me. I am so amazed in how much my friends are like family to me. My prayer is that I will be the friend that Christ wants me to be. 7. I love my Job. I have such a good time and can't wait for all the new things we are doing. My prayer is that I will wait on God and honor him with our business. 8. I love my home and I'm so thankful that God provided it for us. My prayer is that I will take better care of it and use it to further the kingdom. 9. I love my church and I'm so thankful for what Central Baptist Church has meant to me and my family for 20 years. My prayer is that I will be a better member. 10. I love my community/town. It is Great to live in a place like Magnolia. My prayer is that I will encourage others in our area and for all of us to be better citizens. Love to all, Lori

Celebrating Easter

He is Risen, He is Risen indeed. My Savior is risen and promises to all if we believe he is the Son of God, was crucified for our sins, was buried and rose on the third day, that we will spend forever with him. I BELIEVE!!!!! We had a blessed day in church and the music was ... well there are no words to describe it. Yesterday was our Annual family Easter Egg hunt and it was Great. Graham, Reed and Connor were here for the hunt. This was Graham's first time the hunt eggs, last year he was just a baby. He was so precious, he would sit and play with the grass. However he did get a basket full. Reed and Connor are old pros and had baskets full of eggs. Everyone had so much fun with them. Nanny & Papaw, Lynn's parents were able to be with us and they always enjoy watching the hunt. Lynn prepared the best lunch. How would I ever make it with out him! We had sloppy joes, grilled hot dogs, saugage/beans, broccoli salad, slaw, peach pie, brownies and cupcakes and almost all the food was gone. There were 16 of us. We made pictures, so many pictures and really enjoyed our time together. We were missing grandboy Mack, Lance and Felice they were busy getting our newest addition to the family. Bliss Vivian Story was born yesterday at 12:42 PM, she weighed 6lbs 14oz and was 18.5" long. Mother and baby are doing just fine. We left Magnolia about 3:30PM heading to Hot Springs to get kisses and see that sweet baby girl. I even got to see her feet. I so love little baby's feet. She is beautiful and looks just like her Big Brother Mack. We made it home around 10:00 PM. Wishing you and your family and wonderful Easter. Take time to reflect on what Easter means to you. Happy Easter, Lori

First day of Spring

Today was the first day of Spring. Really... It's terribly cold and snowed most of the afternoon but not cold enough to stick. I did enjoy seeing it anyway. I have been down with the stomach bug since early Friday morning. Haven't been out of the house since Thursday. I'm feeling much better, still a little weak but hoping to be at work tomorrow. Hope everyone had a Blessed first day of spring. May God Bless each of you!!! Lori

One Of Those Days

It has been one of those days... actually one of those weeks!!!!! I woke up at 4:30 AM and couldn't get back to sleep and I needed to be at work early so I got busy and was at the store by 7:00 AM. Needing to get Graham's 1st birthday things done because we haven't had the time to run them during the day. They are sooooo cute. I can't wait for you to see them, will post pictures tomorrow. We are really busy and are so thankful to God for being generous with us. It just seems that I can't get anything done at work!!!! Could be the ADD!!!! I know there are those of you that don't believe in ADD. Well let me tell you it's real. Now I'm not talking about acting out, being disrespectful, those kids that need a real attitude adjustment with the do-right stick. I'm talking about those of us that have a hard time keeping focused, not being able to multitask because you don't know where you are when you are interrupted, really just all over the place. It has been said "People with ADD are real creative” and that's me. Anyway the day went downhill from there. I turned over a LARGE cup of coffee on my desk. It poured all over our lap top, all the papers on one side, my check book, everywhere. Worried about the computer I turned it on its side and the coffee POURED out!!! Not thinking this is going to turn out good. Lynn read about saving your wet computer so we are not going to turn it on for 48 hours. Hopefully it will be OK. All I have been able to smell since this accident is coffee. I love me some coffee. I can drink it hot or cold and prefer to drink it black. So much for today. Then the Lacey was working on a project and messed it up. It could cost us $45.00. Hopefully we can fix it on Monday. The Week...Wednesday and Thursday we were doing a special brand of cap for one of our most special customer. The caps are a real bugger to run. We broke probably 20 needles getting 12 caps done. Earlier in the week we had a BIG whoops. Not really something I want to share. Just been one of those weeks. I know that God wants me to lean on him during the good and bad. My prayer is that I will seek him always. Looking forward to sharing my Saturday with Graham, Jeremy, Laura and all the folks that will be at Graham's party.

Show us how you live.... Beauty Tips-Favorite Hair and Make-up Tips I thought I would join in all the fun over at Kelly's Korner today with my beauty tips and favorite products. *****THIS IS THE BEST*****!!! I have used this Loreal conditioner off and on for years. When I'm using it my hair is really healthy no split ends and that is big for me. I'm older and my husband loves for my hair to be long. So when it is long it needs to be healthy. So this is the product for me. When I try something new I ALWAYS regret it. Not going to change again. Give this a try. http://www.sallybeauty.com/Strength-Fortifying-Treatment/ I'm always looking for new skin care and make-up. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. We are all beautiful in God's eyes. Have a Beautiful day. Lori

Market Overload

I am so thankful to God for allowing me to go to market but more than that I am so thankful that Gail Wood was able to go with me. We had a Great time and were able to find some really neat things. If you have never been to market you can't imagine what it is like. It's massive!!!!! Trying to decide the things to buy that will sell is very stressful. You have a budget and need to find the best for the best price. I promise you should really appreciate the small retail stores in your towns. We all need to support our hometown business'. Be watching this blog for some special things from us. Have a wonderful Lord's day tomorrow.

Love Our Parents

God prompted this morning to share with you. For several days I have been thinking of sharing about my family with an old friend but just haven't taken the time. Then people started sharing FB about their love for either their Mom or Dad. So here we are. I have been caring for my mother for over 16 years. She lived with me for 10 years and is currently in the nursing home here in Magnolia. My dad had a stroke in 98' and the doctors told me he would die if they didn’t get help, because Chris, my stepmother couldn't care for him. So in 1999 they moved to Magnolia. They lived with us for 2 weeks, yes I had my mother, dad and step mom all in the same house and it was fine. They moved into a house a few miles away and lived there for a year. At that time Chris moved into a nursing home and Daddy moved back in with us. He and mom lived with us for four years. Dad is gone and we still care for mom and Chris... I love my parents and have tried to give them the best care in their later years. But not because of what they did for me. But because of what my Heavenly Father has done for me and what he has says in the bible. Honor your Father and Mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the Lord your God is giving you. DT 5:16 My parents were mostly uninvolved in my life, especially when I was really young and I know that has changed my life. I had to grow up way before I should have. My parents did the best they could at the time and I know that they loved me with all they could. I hope that my children know that I love them even though I made mistakes, lots of mistakes. I hope that they can see how God wants us to care for our parents and I hope they will be sweet to all their parents when were old. But most of all I hope they all know that God is the best parent of all, he will never fail them. I pray that they will get to know him better each day and spend the time need for that relationship. I also pray that for you. May God show you his special love and draw you to himself.
